Airbus Group (worldwide leader of aeronautic, space, defense and other services) and Safran (international group of high technology, first rank manufacturer in aeronautic and space, Defense and Security) have decided to join their forces in space launcher sector.
These two partners reorganize their activities in launchers area and agree to create a joint-venture 50-50. This new structure will improve the sector competitiveness and will give more economic facilities to customers. This new industrial partnership is about the launch of Ariane 5ME and Ariane 6’ programs.
The effective creation of the joint-venture and the first part of the merger are scheduled before end of 2014, the second part in 2015.
